[Tech News] Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 Price, Release Date, Specs

Update: September 5 launch date teased by Xiaomi
Xiaomi is continuously working on expanding its smartphone model range. While rumors have been circulating for some time, the online retailer Gearbest decided to leak the new Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 on its platform before the Chinese manufacturers even had time to officially present it.

Xiaomi Mi Mix 2: release date and price

Xiaomi has just teased a September 5 launch date for an unnamed flagship phone. It will feature a dual camera, and we strongly suspect it will be the Mi MIX 2 making its debut.
According to Gearbest's leak, the smallest variant of the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 is priced at  774.93 Euro - which translates to $833 (£649 | ₹53,791).

Xiaomi Mi Mix 2: design and specs

Xiaomi managed to create quite some buzz around the first Mi Mix as it delivered an amazing display-to-size ratio. Up until then, no other smartphone had offered so much screen size with so little bezel. The Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 seems to take it even further. If the images from Gearbest are accurate, the front panel of the smartphone will just be one giant display - similar to the concept images of the iPhone 8.

A Snapdragon 835 processor with 4, 6 or even 8 GB of RAM, plus 128 or 256 GB of memory, a 6.4-inch display with 2,560 x 1,440 pixel resolution, a 19 megapixel camera and Android 7.1 nougat. The non-removable battery of the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 has - according to the online retailer - a capacity of 4,500 mAh.

[ TechLeaks ] Korean media: Galaxy Note 8 to launch on August 26 in New York as report says

The Korea Herald and the news portal Naver said today purporting to reveal the release date of Samsung’s Next Big Thing. According to the Korea Herald , Samsung is planning to introduce the Galaxy Note 8 “in the third or fourth week of August.” Like the Note 7 before it, the new S Pen device will reportedly make its debut in New York. Citing an unnamed Samsung official, Naver ventures a specific date: August 26, give or take a couple of days. Samsung initially planned to launch the new Note at IFA in the first week of September, according to the Korea Herald . The impending arrival of rival devices from LG and especially Apple might have prompted Samsung to bring up the big release. For reference, the Note 7 was announced on August 2 last year. Reports that surfaced after the phone was recalled due to faulty batteries suggested Samsung rushed the device to market in order to outshine Apple. Almost every flagship release from Samsung from the last few years has been preced...

[ Phone Launch ] Galaxy Note 8 makes its debut in India

Just a few short weeks after its global unveil, Samsung is launching the Galaxy Note 8 in India. The Galaxy S8 series was very well-received in the country, and there's a healthy interest in the Galaxy Note line as well. As a reminder, the Galaxy Note 8 shares a similar design aesthetic as the Galaxy S8, with the phone sporting a slightly larger 6.3-inch Infinity Display with a resolution of 2960 x 1440. Samsung makes the best AMOLED panels, and the display on the Note 8 is incredible. The Note 8 is powered by the Exynos 8895 in India, and comes with 6GB of RAM, 64GB storage, microSD slot, IP68 dust and water resistance, Wi-Fi ac, Bluetooth 5.0, USB-C 3.1, iris scanner, and a 3300mAh battery with fast charging and wireless charging. A new feature to make its way to the Note 8 is dual cameras at the back. The phone has two 12MP cameras — a primary f/1.7 sensor that acts as a wide-angle lens augmented by an f/2.4 telephoto lens that offers 2x optical zoom. Both...
